my hari krishna friend told me that a man wears it on one side of the head while a woman wears it on the other. the idea is that it penetrates two points in the body related to sexual desire and suppresses one's urges.
sadly i do not remember which side is supposed to be which :/ either way i find they look very awesome =^ ^= so.. *thumbs up*
i think its the left side for women but better check it on google for sure
